Job Description
The role of the Senior Business Administrator (Membership and Events) is key in supporting and delivering the rapidly growing range of membership, event and client services provided by Commercial Interiors UK.
Key Responsibilities
Administration
- Provide administrative support to the CIUK team, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our trade association business.
- Maintain and update the CRM system, ensuring accurate records, data integrity, and timely entry of new member details.
- Support the upkeep and maintenance of the organisation’s online platforms.
- Assist the marketing team by supporting the preparation and distribution of promotional materials, communications, and digital content updates.
- Support management with data gathering and analysis, reporting, and general administrative tasks to enhance operational efficiency.
Membership
- Serve as a primary point of contact for members, ensuring a professional, friendly, and supportive experience.
- Ensure members’ queries and support requests regarding events and associated services are handled promptly and accurately.
- Work across our delivery platforms, such as the CRM, to provide a seamless and efficient membership experience.
- Assist in onboarding new members by providing guidance on available resources, benefits, and how to make the most of their membership.
- Support the marketing team in delivering member recruitment and engagement initiatives.
Events
- Assist in the planning and delivery of a rolling programme of online and in-person events, ensuring they run smoothly, efficiently, and within budget.
- Identify and liaise with venues, suppliers, and service providers to secure appropriate locations and ensure all logistical arrangements are in place.
- Manage speaker bookings, confirming availability, requirements, and handling contracts, fees, and expenses.
- Coordinate sponsor and exhibitor requirements, ensuring their needs are incorporated into event planning and execution.
- Support the marketing team in promoting events effectively and drive engagement through marketing communications.
- Oversee event logistics, including processing bookings, managing dietary requirements, and arranging audio-visual and room setup.
- Provide hands-on support at events (both online and in person), including welcoming delegates, setting up rooms, and ensuring refreshments are available.
- Gather, log, and analyse event feedback to improve future events and enhance attendee experience.

- Knowledge of database management and CRM systems
- Technologically savvy
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
- A good understanding of Microsoft Excel
- A sound understanding of Microsoft Word
- Can-do attitude, confident but easy-going personality, with a sense of humour
