John Woolley began his career in design when undertaking a HNC in mechanical engineering, working on a multitude of projects and learning about the importance of a product’s design. It is this passion for product design which inspired him to join award-winning British bed manufacturer, Hypnos Contract Beds, as operations manager in 2003.

John proceeded to work his way up to operations director and subsequently group operations director, responsible for both the Contract and Retail sides of the business. Now managing director for Hypnos Contract Beds, John’s day to day role is focussed on finances and the everyday running of the business, although he still likes to get involved with the design process wherever possible.
