Kate Mitchell has worked in the design contract industry in London for over 24 years. Having studied Printed Textiles at Glasgow School of Art, she spent many years working closely with the London interior design community creating custom carpets for the hospitality industry. She now runs the London contract division of iconic Glasgow-based fabric, wallpaper and surface design and manufacturing company, Timorous Beasties. Their collections and bespoke designs ornament and furnish both hospitality and commercial spaces, from interiors to exteriors, using a universal range of materials and techniques. Kate has been a member of the Commercial Interiors UK Council for 4 years and very much enjoy being part of the Commercial Interiors UK team.
