The BCFA was delighted to be invited by Detlef Braun, CEO of Messe Frankfurt, to attend a luncheon celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Heimtextil, a world leading trade fair.
Since the first fair in Frankfurt in January 1971, which featured 679 exhibitors, the 2020 edition included 2952 companies from 65 overseas countries. The show also has editions worldwide and the latest launch of Heimtextil Colombia in Medellin in April 2021 was announced.
The Frankfurt show, which achieved over 63,000 visitors, was mainly aimed at Home Textiles & Wallcoverings, but in recent years Contract Furnishing has been brought into the spotlight. BCFA member Trevira featured a superby well presented Contract showcase in collaboration with Studio Aisslinger, Berlin and an Interior Architecture Hospitality Library and a Future Trends display were very popular with visitors.
Over ten BCFA members exhibited, showing off their exciting new ranges with magnificent stand displays across the nine specialist halls. The next Heimtextil will take place in Frankfurt from 12-15 January 2021.
