This Spring, Commercial Interiors UK, in partnership with its media partner Design Insider, is thrilled to announce the hosting of an exclusive networking event, 'Defining Luxury', set in the vibrant city of Glasgow. Aimed at creating an atmosphere for our members to mingle with both potential and existing clients, this event promises to be a unique opportunity for fostering relationships and establishing new connections within the commercial interiors industry. Attendees will enjoy an evening of delightful refreshments and food at a prestigious central Glasgow location, further enhancing the networking experience.
Adding a rich layer of insight to the evening, Design Insider will facilitate a CPD accredited in-depth conversation featuring two of the commercial interiors sector's most influential figures: Jim Hamilton, Creative Director at Graven Images, and Nicolle Cairney, Associate at 3DReid. Led by Design Insider's Editor, Alys Bryan, the dialogue aims to explore and 'define luxury' in the context of modern commercial interiors, particularly within the hospitality sector.
The conversation will unravel the multifaceted concept of luxury in today’s hospitality design. Our experts will delve into whether the term 'luxury' has been overused and how service plays a pivotal role in delivering a luxury experience. They will challenge current perceptions by questioning the materiality and aesthetic of sustainable luxury, the impact of technology on luxury experiences, and the place of bespoke design in luxury hospitality. Further, the discussion will explore how the scope of commercial interior design studios has expanded to include architecture and/or branding and what this evolution means for luxury projects.
