Review: Decorex 2019

For the first time in over 40 years Decorex International opened its doors in the purpose-built venue of Olympia after a peripatic tented life ranging from the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea to Syon Park.

The four-day show transferred well into the Olympia Grand Hall which traditionally benefits a design and interiors show by virtue of the superb natural light filtering through the glass roof.

9 BCFA members exhibited showing off their ranges of superb new products and designs including: Harrison Spinks, Heathfield & Co, Hypnos Beds, Kai, Lincrusta, Phillip Jeffries, Pretigious Textiles, The Isle Mill and Vescom.

The Isle Mill

When the BCFA attended the show the event was buzzing with visitors but it will be interesting to see how many International visitors attended with the show moving out of its traditional time slot in London Design Week.

A packed seminar programme featured industry names discussing and debating craft, lighting, hotels and yacht design and the traditional central feature of the Decorex Champagne bar proved as popular as ever.

Decorex 2020 will take place from 11th-14th October.
