This year for the BCFA's 5th Northern Dinner, we were back at the iconic Imperial War Museum in Manchester on the stunning Quays Waterfront.
The evening started with a drinks reception under the amazing Harriet Jet, which set the atmosphere for the evening ahead and our BCFA members had the chance to get settled in with their clients whilst enjoying a glass of bubbly. The room soon developed a great buzz and our House Band 'Bemsha Swing' matched their upbeat music to the atmospheric wraparound wall projections of Havannah.
The BCFA Managing Director, Jeremy Stein began by welcoming everyone to the evening and introduced Lee Marvin of Lugo Group Europe the BCFA's new Chair. Jeremy also announced an exciting venue change for the 2019 Annual Luncheon, which after 18 years at the Dorchester, will take place this year at the beautifully refurbished Royal Lancaster Hotel in London. The speech closed with a special thank you to the sponsors of the evening, Agua Fabrics, Indigo Art, Shackletons and Waterbury.
The buzz of conversation continued to grow over dinner, which was followed by a truly impressive display of dancing by our Jive Troup who performed routines to get everyone in the dancing spirit! The dancers invited got members of the audience onto the dance floor for an impromptu and energetic Jive dance lesson before adding music and putting everyone's dancing skills to the test! It was fantastic to see so many people throwing themselves into the Jive.
After the dancers had finished their performance, it didn't stop anyone from continuing dancing as the DJ played some classic 80’s and 90’s songs which soon turned the dance floor into a karaoke!
We had a full house this year which created a lively atmosphere throughout the evening! It was great to see some new BCFA member faces at the event making new connections and meeting some long standing BCFA Members.
Thank you to everyone who attended, we continue to value all the support we receive from members and clients.
