The first Independent Hotel Show to take place since 2019, opened its doors at London’s Kensington Olympia on Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th October 2021.
The initial sight as exhibitors and visitors approached Olympia for the first time in 18 months, was quite different from previous years, as it is now dwarfed by the massive £1.6 bn of redevelopment work taking place to turn the complex into a state of the art entertainment, leisure and exhibition venue for 2024.
Excellent precautionary COVID checks by the Show organisers to allow entry into the National Hall, ensured that both the exhibitors and visitors felt secure in the knowledge that everything possible had been done to ensure their safety.
Once inside, the show floor featured products and services from over 200 providers from across the hotel supply chain, including the BCFA and five members.
A fully packed seminar programme offered solutions and discussions on the changing aspects of design and hospitality going forward given the new challenges the industry has to face.
A steady flow of visitors on the Monday built up to a lively and dynamic atmosphere on the Tuesday, with exhibitors and visitors alike just pleased to be able to network face to face and physically see new products on display.
The BCFA stand team happily engaged with current members and welcomed enquiries from both potential new members and hoteliers sourcing products.
The Independent Hotel show will take place once again at Olympia on 4th/5th October 2022. The BCFA will also be managing a Department of International Trade UK group stand at the Independent Hotel Show in Amsterdam from 16th/17th March 2022.
The BCFA took photos of exhibiting members, including Contract Furniture Group, Forbes Group, Hypnos Contract Beds, Millbrook Beds and the Silentnight Group.
