After a long wait, the doors to the most exciting hospitality Interiors launch event of 2021 - HIX – were finally opened at the Business Design Centre on Thursday 18th and Friday 19th November.
BCFA were proud to be co-founding partners of this new event, and over 40 of our members were present on the show floor.
From the start of the show, that wonderful buzz of human interaction filled the air and it was a joy for visitors and exhibitors alike to be able to see so many colleagues, discover so many products and be able to touch and really experience in person design products aimed at the hospitality sector. It was an experience that the industry has been waiting for the last 18 months.
Visitors were also able to discover brand new products, from textiles to wallcoverings, furniture to bathrooms, lighting to floorcoverings – to see their function and to talk to the designers themselves. As well as new product launches, there were previews of exciting new products with true innovation that are not due to be launched until 2022/2023.
An excellent series of HIX talks allowed visitors to learn from the vast knowledge and experience of a stellar group of speakers who gave valuable insights into the varied and topical issues affecting our industry.
A huge thankyou to all those involved, the Organizers, the exhibitors and the also to visitors for bringing our industry back to “real” life again.
The next HIX will take place on 17th/18th November 2022, once again at the Business Design Centre. We look forward to being there!
