Our media partner, Design Insider, played a central role in the event's talks programme, with Alys Bryan moderating two key panel discussions, sparking insightful discussions on the trends shaping hospitality design.
Panel 1: A Seat at the Table: Creating a Sense of Place with Hotel F&B
Moderated by Alys Bryan, this session explored how hotel food and beverage spaces can enhance guest experiences through design. Insights from Tom Chalmers (AvroKO), Elisa Rodriguez Checa (Checa Woid Interiors), and George Blower (Hilton) offered practical takeaways and inspired lively discussion.

This forward-looking discussion, featuring Fiona Thompson (Richmond International), Mike Davies (PriestmanGoode), and Max Pinucci (Oceansky Cruises), examined how evolving travel trends are reshaping hospitality design. The panel received widespread praise for its thought-provoking content and future-focused approach.

Networking Highlights: The Breakfast Event
Our exclusive Breakfast Networking Event was another standout moment of HIX 2024. Held on 28th November, it offered members and designer guests a relaxed setting to connect and kick off the day’s activities. With over 60 attendees, the event fostered valuable relationships and reinforced the sense of community within Commercial Interiors UK.
