As part of a long-term partnership, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry and CONNECT have announced two inaugural events: Middle East Design & Build Week (MEDBW) and Middle East Manufacturing & Technology Expo (MEMT). Both the physical events are scheduled to be held between 5 – 7 December 2022 at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), UAE.
MEDBW is the only event in the region that caters to the construction, interior design, hospitality, and commercial industries within one event. MEMT is the region’s only event dedicated to the manufacturing and industrialization industry. By co-locating both the events, attendees will benefit from wide opportunities to present, learn, and explore solutions in the construction and design as well as manufacturing and technology sectors.
The events are supported by Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, Etihad Airways and other prominent government and regional bodies from the UAE.
During the three days of the events, attendees will witness a series of programmes that includes informative workshops, live product demonstrations and panel discussions pertaining to construction, design, manufacturing, and technology industries.
Infrastructure projects are a key part of the UAE's economic expansion. In the long term, Abu Dhabi aims to sustain growth by capitalizing on the investments in the commercial building sector. Under the auspices of the Abu Dhabi 2030 Plan, the emirate is estimated to attract 7.9 million tourists annually by 2030. An additional plan to expand the retail and office space in Abu Dhabi to 4 million and 7.5 million square meters by 2030 is underway.
Some of the countries who have confirmed their participation at the events are Israel, Italy, Turkey, United Kingdom amongst others. With the support of leading trade associations, The British Contract Furnishing Association and Manufacturing Technologies Association, the events are expected to attract participation and delegations from across the world.
