Honoring Tradition and Achievements
One of the highlights of the day was the prestigious Commercial Interiors UK Lifetime Achievement Award, sponsored by Panaz. This year, the award recognised the extraordinary contributions of Robin Hutson OBE and Judy Hutson, the creative forces behind some of the UK’s most iconic boutique hotels. Robin’s storied career includes notable beginnings at The Berkeley, Claridge’s, and Hotel de Crillon, as well as the co-founding of Hotel du Vin and pivotal leadership roles at Soho House, contributing to its international prominence. The couple’s innovative project, The Pig, redefined the UK’s country house hotel sector, celebrated for its “restaurant with rooms” concept and sustainable practices. Judy’s design approach, influenced by her occupational therapy background, emphasized well-being and storytelling in spaces.
